Feed Bolivia/ Alimenta a Bolivia

Until December 17, 2019, we sent the $4,000 we received in donations to Bolivia.
Once again, I choose to use my platforms for something bigger and need to ask you guys for help. You were kind enough to aid my country, Bolivia, during the fires that consumed 5+million hectares of nature and millions of animals, and now I hope you can support us again during the political crisis Bolivia is currently facing.
On October 20, Bolivians woke up with so much hope and excitement in their hearts and headed towards the voting stations to fill their ballots for the general elections but we were bitten by a frustrating surprise. That same day, they discovered that some voting stations had been moved without warning, ballot papers had been pre-marked, strangers had voted for Bolivians living abroad (and even for those deceased), ballot boxes had been illegally opened, and that the official voting reporting agency had stopped reporting the results once it became clear that a second-round runoff would be needed, with only 83% of the ballots in.
So...Bolivia rose up.
Once again!
Taking over the streets to show Evo Morales, and the world, that votes HAVE to be respected and that the voice of the people CAN’T be silenced. They stroke peacefully for 21 days, demanding the resignation of Evo Morales, which occurred and Jeanine Añez became our interim President until the new general elections in 2020.
This strike and all the political turmoil also meant the shutdown of businesses and transportation which has led to thousands of people, who chose to defend their country’s democracy and join the strike, being left without a daily income or means to buy food.
After becoming aware of this need, a group of kindhearted volunteers joined forces to start a communal kitchen with different locations around Bolivia. Each kitchen cooks food for thousands of people per day. At no charge!
But they need our help!
Resources and funds are scarce, and the produce donations they were receiving within Bolivia are decreasing on a daily basis. Our police officers and military forces in La Paz, who are defending peaceful civilians from aggressive supporters of Evo Morales, do not have access to food, higiene products, mattresses, nor medicine. Therefore, we’ve decided to start this campaign to raise funds and help them.
To every Bolivian living abroad and every kind soul willing to help us, you can support Bolivia with the thing that gives people physical energy and protection: Food and daily necessities!
All funds will go directly to volunteers in La Paz and Santa Cruz who are purchasing the produce themselves, cooking on a daily basis, and delivering food, meds and other necessities.

CAMPAÑA CERRADA.
Hasta Diciembre 17, 2019, mandamos los $4000 recaudados a Bolivia.
Una vez más, elijo usar mis plataformas para algo más grande y necesito pedirles su ayuda. Tuvieron la amabilidad de ayudar a mi país, Bolivia, durante los incendios que consumieron más de 5 millones de hectáreas de naturaleza y millones de animales, y ahora espero que puedan apoyarnos nuevamente durante la crisis política que Bolivia enfrenta actualmente.
El 20 de octubre, los bolivianos se despertaron con tanta esperanza y emoción en sus corazones y se dirigieron hacia las mesas de votación para llenar sus boletas para las elecciones generales, pero los sorprendió una sorpresa frustrante. Ese mismo día, descubrieron que algunas mesas de votación se habían trasladado sin previo aviso, las papeletas habían sido marcadas previamente, extraños habían votado por los bolivianos que vivían en el extranjero (e incluso por los fallecidos), las cajas de ánforas se habían abierto ilegalmente, y que la agencia oficial de informes de votación dejó de informar los resultados una vez que quedó claro que se necesitaría una segunda vuelta, con solo el 83% de los votos.
Entonces ... Bolivia se levantó. ¡Una vez más!
Tomaron las calles pacíficamente para mostrarle a Evo Morales, y al mundo, que los votos TIENEN que ser respetados y que la voz del pueblo NO PUEDE ser silenciada. Estuvieron en paro cívico por 21 días, exigiendo la renuncia de Evo Morales, la cual ocurrió y Jeanine Añez entró como nuestra Presidenta interina.
Esta huelga y crisis política también significó el cierre de negocios y transporte, lo que llevó a miles de personas, que eligieron unirse al paro y defender la democracia de su país a diario, a quedarse sin un ingreso o fondos para comprar alimentos.
Al darse cuenta de esta necesidad, un grupo de voluntarios con corazones enormes unieron fuerzas para comenzar una cocina comunitaria con diferentes ubicaciones por todo Bolivia. Cada cocina prepara comida para miles de personas diarias. Sin costo!
¡Pero necesitan nuestra ayuda!
Los recursos y fondos son escasos, y las donaciones de insumos que recibían dentro de Bolivia están disminuyendo a diario. Nuestros policías y fuerzas armadas en La Paz, que defienden a los civiles pacíficos de los partidarios agresivos de Evo Morales, no tienen acceso a alimentos, productos de higiene, colchones, ni medicamentos. Por lo tanto, hemos decidido comenzar esta campaña para recaudar fondos y ayudarlos.
Para todos los Bolivianos que viven en el extranjero y persona dispuesta a ayudarnos, pueden apoyar a Bolivia con lo que brinda a las personas energía física y protección: alimentos y necesidades diarias.
Todos los fondos irán directamente a voluntarios en La Paz y Santa Cruz quienes compran los productos ellos mismos, cocinan a diario y entregan alimentos, medicamentos y otras necesidades.
