CHINCHA, PERU
HACIENDA SAN JOSE
March 2018
Ok…shall we continue with my trip to Peru?
Right before traveling to the Amazons, I attended the wedding of a close friend of mine at a hotel that left all attendees (including myself) so speechless, it is worth sharing! A 1688 country home, church and town transformed into a magnificent hotel with 12 suites and 15 bungalows. The hotel preserves the Peruvian culture to the fullest. From its architecture, to its nature-oriented design, colorful arts and crafts exhibition on Saturdays and Sundays, guided visits to the home of locals, Afro dance classes, and many more activities and characteristics that make Hacienda San Jose extremely special.
I was there only for two days, but they were enough to discover and savor every exotic detail this place has to offer.
To know about Hacienda San Jose:
-It’s a 3-hour drive from Lima
-The bungalows are beyond beautiful. I recommend choosing one of those.
-The breakfast area is precious. Make sure you contemplate the plants and how they’ve reused old bathtubs to give life to these plants.
-There’s good wifi
-They can prepare vegan dishes if you ask in advance
-It’s a beautiful place to visit with children
Ps: the dress I wore to the wedding is made of recycled fabric and reduces our negative footprint in the world, by Reformation. Fair-trade clutch by Hubbiel. And handmade and fair-trade earrings by MP Wears.
Yes, my Amazon treehouse post is coming up next! Stay tuned!
